Frequently asked questions.

Straightforward answers about how we work, what we check, and what to expect when you charter through Ravello Jets.

An air charter broker arranges private jet flights on behalf of clients but does not own or operate aircraft. In the United States, air charter brokers are regulated under 14 CFR Part 295, which requires brokers to tell you which carrier will operate your flight. Ravello Jets is an air charter broker — we source aircraft from independently certificated operators, vet them against our safety standards, and arrange the flight on your behalf.

No. Ravello Jets does not own or operate any aircraft. All flights we arrange are operated by independently certificated air carriers who hold their own FAA Part 135 certificates (or foreign equivalents), maintain their own insurance, and employ their own crews. Our role is to source the right aircraft and operator for your trip, vet them against our safety standards, and manage the booking on your behalf.

Every operator must clear a five-point verification before we present them to a client: operating certificate verified against the FAA or Transport Canada registry; insurance minimums confirmed for hull and liability coverage; third-party safety rating reviewed (we check standing with ARG/US, Wyvern, and IS-BAO); every trip reviewed by a commercial pilot on our team; and the operating carrier named in your quote before you commit.

A Ravello Jets charter quote includes the specific aircraft type, passenger capacity, the route and estimated flight time, and the total price. We also disclose any known additional costs such as overnight charges, repositioning, or fuel surcharges. The operating carrier is named on your charter agreement, which you see and sign before any payment is taken. Our goal is to present a complete picture so there are no surprises after you commit.

Ravello Jets is an air charter broker. We do not own or operate aircraft. Your flight is operated by a certified Part 135 air carrier, or the foreign equivalent, which holds full operational control of the aircraft, crew, and flight at all times. That carrier is named on your charter agreement before you sign.

We can arrange flights with as little as a few hours' notice, depending on aircraft availability and the complexity of the routing. For peak travel periods, popular routes, or specific aircraft preferences, booking several days to weeks in advance improves availability and pricing. International flights typically require more lead time for overflight permits and customs coordination.

Yes, many operators accommodate pets in the cabin on private charter flights. Pet policies vary by operator, so we confirm pet accommodation as part of the booking process. Let us know when you request a quote and we will source operators who welcome your pet on board.

Cross-border flights between Canada and the United States require customs clearance at designated airports of entry. U.S.-bound flights require advance passenger information through CBP's eAPIS system, and Canadian-bound flights require advance notification to the CBSA. We handle the coordination of customs slots, ensure manifests are filed accurately and on time, and advise on airports with pre-clearance and CANPASS availability to minimize ground time.

A jet card is a pre-purchased block of flight hours at fixed hourly rates. The Ravello One Jet Card lets you lock in pricing, simplify billing, and access guaranteed availability windows across every aircraft category we arrange. It is designed for frequent travellers who want rate certainty and priority access without the commitment of aircraft ownership or a long-term lease.

Funds you deposit into the Ravello One Jet Card are held in escrow by an independent escrow agent, a law firm named in your program documents, and are not used for our operating expenses. Money is released to the operator only to pay for a specific flight you have booked, and only with the explicit authorisation of Ravello Jets Inc., since operators require payment in full before departure. Undrawn funds remain your legal property, and any unflown balance is returned to you on request in accordance with your program terms. Interest earned on escrowed balances is retained by Ravello Jets and offsets the cost of holding your funds independently.

An empty leg is a one-way repositioning flight that occurs when an aircraft needs to fly without passengers to position for its next booking. These flights can be available at reduced pricing for flexible travellers. However, empty-leg availability is subject to change without notice — the original charterer may cancel or alter the flight at any time, and pricing is confirmed only at booking.
