Pricing

What a private jet actually costs.

You pay for the whole aircraft, not a seat, so the price is the same whether one person flies or eight. A light jet from Toronto to New York starts from about $10,700 CAD one way, and every quote we send lists what is included and what is not.

We are based in Sheridan, Wyoming and arrange charter on any route, worldwide.

Example routes, by aircraft class

Indicative one-way starting prices, based on recent charters. Your quote will be a firm number for a specific aircraft type. The operating carrier is named on your charter agreement, before you sign and before you pay. These routes are examples only: every route is available on request.

Indicative “from” pricing in CAD, based on recent one-way charters. Not a quote. Final pricing is confirmed at time of booking. “—” means that aircraft class is not offered on that route.

One-way pricing is typically non-refundable from the time of booking. Return pricing carries a graduated cancellation schedule. We will confirm which applies before you pay.

The figures above are indicative starting points intended to give a general sense of cost, and do not constitute an offer or a quotation. Actual charter pricing varies with aircraft type and availability, routing, aircraft positioning, date and time of travel, passenger count, ground handling, landing and airport fees, fuel surcharges, and applicable taxes. Prices are one-way and exclude return or repositioning legs unless quoted. Some routes are priced by operators in US dollars and converted here for reference; the applicable exchange rate at the time of booking may differ. Rates change frequently and are only confirmed when a specific aircraft is quoted for a specific trip on a specific date. Please contact us for a firm quotation.

What changes the price

  • Flight time. Operators charge by the hour the aircraft is flying, including any leg to reach you. An aircraft based near your departure airport costs less to bring to you.
  • Aircraft class. Bigger cabins and longer range cost more per hour. We will tell you when a smaller aircraft does the job.
  • Notice and dates. Same-week requests and peak days narrow the choice of aircraft and raise the price.
  • Return timing. A same-day return is often cheaper than an overnight, because the crew and aircraft do not wait. A multi-day trip can mean paying to bring the aircraft home and back.
  • Airport. Landing and handling fees differ. We will tell you when a smaller field is closer and cheaper.

Travelling with a dog?

Several of the operators we work with welcome dogs in the cabin, not the hold. Tell us about your pet when you ask for a quote and we will match you with an aircraft and crew that allow it. Each operator approves pets flight by flight, and any cleaning or damage costs from the trip are billed afterwards.

What is in a Ravello Jets quote

Every quote is a single number for a specific aircraft type. It includes:

  • The aircraft and its flight crew
  • Fuel for the quoted routing
  • Complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Landing, ramp, and handling fees at the airports we quote
  • Applicable taxes, shown in the total

Operators quote a specific aircraft type. If that aircraft becomes unavailable they may offer a similar one, and any change in price is shown to you before you pay.

What it does not include

It does not include, and we will say so in writing:

  • A fuel surcharge, where the operator applies one to reflect fuel costs at the time of travel
  • Additional flight time, if weather, delays, or diversions make the trip longer than the quoted flight plan
  • De-icing, charged at cost when weather requires it
  • Catering beyond the standard snack and beverage service
  • Ground transportation to or from the aircraft
  • Hangarage, aircraft detailing, and any cleaning or damage costs arising from the trip
  • In-flight Wi-Fi and phone use, where the aircraft is equipped, billed by usage. At some operators this is as much as US$6.95 per megabyte, so ask before streaming
  • A surcharge for using a specific FBO or handler, if you request one we would not have chosen
  • Customs, immigration, and international handling on cross-border trips
  • A 5% administrative fee on any payment made by credit card, including post-flight charges

How Ravello Jets is paid

We are paid a margin on the operator's price. It is already in the single number you see. There is no separate broker fee, and we do not add anything to your total after you accept.

Operators can add charges after the fact: a fuel surcharge, additional flight time if the trip runs long, and costs like de-icing or catering. Those are the operator's charges, not ours, and we will show you which ones apply to your aircraft before you pay.

You will see the operator's name and the aircraft on your charter agreement, before you sign and before you pay. If the operator needs to substitute a comparable aircraft, we will tell you before it flies.

What we will tell you on request

On request, and before you enter into a contract for a flight, we will also tell you: any business relationship between Ravello Jets and the operating carrier that may bear on our selection of that carrier; the total cost of your air transportation, including any fees charged by us, by the carrier, or imposed by government; and any fees collected by third parties.

If plans change

Cancellation terms are set by the operator flying you, and we show you those terms in writing before you pay, never after. A typical operator ladder looks like this. These are fees charged, not amounts refunded, and costs already incurred preparing the flight are added to them.

When you cancelFee
On signing the booking5% of the quoted price
Within 7 days of departure30%
Within 48 hours50%
Within 24 hours75%

Over peak periods, meaning Easter, Labour Day, both Thanksgivings, and 15 December to 7 January, those figures rise to 10%, 50%, 75% and 100% respectively.

One-way and empty-leg flights are non-refundable from the moment you book. This is how the lower one-way pricing is possible, and we will always tell you before you commit.

Changes to your itinerary are possible subject to aircraft and crew availability, and may change the price. Cancellations and changes must be sent to us in writing.

Where a flight cannot be performed, or a refund is otherwise due, we make refunds promptly. Card payments are refunded in accordance with applicable card regulations. Payments made by cash, cheque, or wire are refunded within 20 days of a complete refund request.
